Reply to Latest Comment's Question We are allowed to say G-d's name when we say a verse in full. In other words if you were to say Mizmor Lidaved Hashem you could only say Hashem as you did not finish the verse. However you could say Mizmor Lidavid Ado-nay etc. even when you are not praying as you are completing a complete verse.

Although this answers your question it does sound strange to hear singers pronouncing G-d’s name instead of saying Hashem although they are within the Halachik guidlines. Reply

Best of best, but I am surprised to hear that the name of HaShem is pronounced in full !!! We know that Torah forbid us to pronounce this particular name in full if there is not tfilah or any other service. But here in this song it is clear that this is not tfilah nor service. Why so does the choir pronounce the name in full ? Reply

Lead Guitar I am struck by the intensity of the lead guitar in these recordings. One dosen't usually relate this instrument to anything prior to, say, 1940 or 1950 (on the Gregorian Calendar,obviously), but these electric tunes sound as if they are emitted from Sinai itself.
